Every Monday, as a family we spend the day resting and delighting in the beauty of His presence and our family! Since the new year, I’ve been sharing with my husband this desire that keeps coming up in my heart—to connect with others through God’s Word, but also just the joy of sitting down with someone (or even just His Word) and “talk about it.” Not in a rushed, we need to do this right now kind of way… more like something the Lord keeps bringing back to me as a future vision.

This past Monday, I shared it again—just thinking out loud about what it could look like. Like… where could I do this? How could I connect with people in different places but still keep it relational and not feel spread out or distant?

As I was sharing ideas, my husband (who has so many creative ideas) started throwing things out and kind of set up a “let’s just see what this could look like” moment. Before I knew it, my daughter sat down to help as our little lighting and sound helper, and we turned on the mics for testing and just started talking about a random question my husband threw out - "What the challenge of growing up in a christian home?"

What started as just testing light and mics turned into a 20 minute conversation. And honestly, it was really special. Because of that moment—and just how precious it was (and not wanting to forget our “first”)—we’ve officially/unofficially launched the Seeds to Flourish podcast. 

It’s not perfect, it wasn’t planned, but it was real—and that’s really the heart behind all of this.
